Katherine “Kat” Dellenbach is the field services director for the Wisconsin State Public Defender, where she serves as an administrative policy advisor and resource liaison for staff and attorneys throughout Wisconsin’s 72 counties. Kat previously served as a supervising attorney at the University of Wisconsin Law School, where she primarily practiced post-conviction law. Through her role as clinical instructor, she trained law students enrolled in a prison-based program, teaching students critical skills on client counseling and the legal practice. Formerly the communications director for State Senator Nikiya Harris Dodd, Kat is a public policy professional with specialized knowledge in corrections, criminal justice, and children and family issues. In her free time, Kat runs the year-long Wisconsin Women’s Network Mentorship Program, connecting undergraduate women to women professionals. Kat also leads Zonta Club of Madison’s service projects, which include volunteering at Madison-area food banks, senior centers, and women’s organizations.
