Jessie Campbell is the Pro Bono & Outreach director for Houston Volunteer Lawyers (HVL). HVL strives to “make it easy” for attorneys to provide pro bono assistance while meeting the civil legal services needs for our clients, for whom HVL may be their last hope for assistance. As the Pro Bono & Outreach director, Jessie manages the Pro Bono department, which recruits, coordinates, trains, supports, and recognizes volunteers, as well as works with HVL’s leadership team to develop innovative ways to deliver legal services through pro bono. Jessie joined HVL in 2014 as the director of the Low-Income Taxpayer Clinic before transitioning to her current role in 2017. She received her J.D. from the University of Texas at Austin and her B.A. in History from Tufts University. She is the proud mom of an 18-year-old dorgi (dachshund/corgi mix).
