Ms. Juwanna N. Brown is a student, advocate, and lifetime learner who is passionate about improving the lives of individuals through systems change. As an emerging community development practitioner, she seeks to gain a more critical understanding of how to transform communities in an equitable and holistic way. Her passion and natural sense of curiosity has led her to challenge current economic development frameworks, while highlighting the importance of putting the needs of the community first in creating sustainable community systems. Her goal is to accentuate the social aspect of community development, while using an anti-oppressive social work perspective and systematic approach toward developing thriving communities for all.
