Marcos A. Vargas is the supervising staff attorney in the Domestic Violence Reduction Project of Greater Bakersfield Legal Assistance, where he represents victims of domestic violence in Custody, Support, and Restraining Order hearings. Marcos was also head of the Homeless Law Center at Greater Bakersfield Legal Assistance and represented clients in administrative and housing related matters. He is an active member of the community. He is a board director of Stewards, Inc., a local representative payee nonprofit organization and is a founding member of the Immigration Justice Collaborative in Kern County. He earned his LL.B. in 2014 from Universidad del Valle de Mexico in Guadalajara, Mexico, and his LL.M. in 2015 from Loyola Law School in Los Angeles. He is admitted to the State Bar of California and is also licensed to practice law in Mexico.
